Filmmakers have long requested custom deals, and we have been quietly refining our offering. We are now ready to formally share it with you. You may have seen our recent articles in the trades discussing some of our new releases and wondered how these deals happened under our standard terms. Custom deals are the answer.

What is a custom acquisition deal at Filmhub?

• Custom acquisition deals are distribution deals that Filmhub signs with a rights holder that has different deal terms than our standard terms available at Filmhub.com/terms.
• Custom Deals from Filmhub are invite-only.

These are the two custom deals we are actively signing:

1. Exclusive Distribution Deals - Generally granting Filmhub exclusive sales & distribution rights for 10 years. In exchange, Filmhub will generally provide an MG and/or P&A funds. Filmhub will also actively participate in leading marketing efforts for the film or TV series. These deals are done at a 70/30 split due to the upfront expenses Filmhub incurs. Sample title: Dog Patrol: Operation Santa Paws starring Cuba Gooding Jr.
2. Shopping & Sales Agreement - Filmhub takes on the role of purely a sales agent looking to sell the film or series to buyers that purchase the film generally for an upfront fixed fee. These deals are done at a 70/30 split if Filmhub pays an MG or an 80/20 split with no MG. Sample title: Trap City (SVOD sold exclusively to Starz).

How can I get a custom deal with Filmhub?

• The best way to get a custom deal with our team is to build a relationship with us.
• When we present a custom deal we will also offer our standard deal which we believe is still the best deal in the business.

What are the best ways to build a relationship with Filmhub?

1. We cannot offer custom deals to everyone, given the significant amount of work these deals entail, and we must be more certain that they will return the money we put up front.
2. Custom Deals are generally reserved for titles with high production value and known cast that can generate six to seven figures in revenue in their initial release window.
3. Become a Pro Client - Your quarterly account reviews are used to share new titles coming up, so we can evaluate to see if a custom deal makes sense. If you secure a custom deal with Filmhub, a Pro Subscription is automatically included as part of the deal, as we need to be more actively involved with you and the title.
4. As your titles generate revenue, our team will get more involved and active with you. This generally means you have a title generating six to seven figures in revenue.
5. The Filmhub team also looks at every single submission to see if it's a fit for a custom deal and will let you know directly if your title is a fit.
