Filmhub co-founder Klaus Badelt’s creative work as a film composer has helped define the sound of modern cinema. His films, including Gladiator, Pirates of the Caribbean, and dozens more, are among the most commercially and creatively successful to ever emerge from the studio system. They have grossed over $5B at the box office, won every major award, and are beloved by billions of people worldwide.
From the creative trenches of Hollywood, he partnered with Silicon Valley veteran Alan d’Escragnolle to found Filmhub based on a simple idea: do right by those who make movies happen and give them full participation in the success they create.
After decades in Hollywood, I’ve seen firsthand how fraught distribution can be at every level of the industry. So many talented people come together to put everything into making a great film, risking their time, money and reputations. Only to be met by an opaque system full of gatekeepers, bad deals, and outdated thinking.
