Our model is simple:
Aligned Financial Incentives
We work on an 80/20 revenue share in your favor so we only make money when you do. We also pay our producers the fastest in the biz - immediately.
No Long-Term Contracts
We believe you should be happy with our distribution service at all times and don’t rely on contractual obligations to keep you with us.
No Expenses or Deductions
We don’t think you should pay for expenses such as QC, pitching to channels, delivery, collections and us attending film markets to sell your film.
What do you get when you work with Filmhub?
Dedicated Acquisitions Manager
Every Filmhub producer has a rep to help them achieve economic and artistic success. Have questions? Wanna strategize marketing? We’ll be there.
Online Asset Submission
We’ve brought asset management in-house rather than using 3rd party encoding houses to get your title QC’d, pitched, licensed, and delivered to buyers faster. And we don’t charge expensive encoding fees; we fully cover this cost for you.
Flexible Rights Management
You may have pre-existing deals for certain rights types, territories, or channels. We’ll honor those deals, sell around them and give you control over future deals.
Complete Transparency
Our online dashboard and payment system shows who we are selling your title to, how much money you’re making, and pay your royalties immediately.
FAQs
I have a new release, how do I get a deal with Filmhub?
- Click Contact Us & Create an Account
- Upload & Submit all of your assets for QC/Acquisitions Review
- Our Acquisitions Team will be in touch if your title is a fit
I have an older catalog title that was previously with another distributor or sales agent, can Filmhub distribute this for me?
Your film has an audience, it needs to be seen, we love working with catalog titles.
What will my journey look like if Filmhub acquires my title?
- While your title is going through our rigorous technical QC and being prepared for distribution, our acquisitions team will immediately begin strategizing the process for your release to optimize the revenue potential for your title.
- During that process, we are strategizing how we will be pitching your title to buyers around the world. These buyers are across all rights types: theatrical, streaming (SVOD, AVOD, TVOD, FAST, EST), broadcast, Pay TV, etc. We also look and see if it makes sense to sell certain territories to other distributors on an exclusive basis to your title. We always maintain at least US rights for your film.
- Once we have a plan in place and your title clears QC, we begin executing and pitching your title to the best monetization locations - this could mean selling your title as an original, going broad, and selling across all potential rights types or it may mean pursuing flat fee deals platform by platforms. Remember we’re equally incentivized to make your film the most money possible so we want to optimize revenue potential. When it makes sense to spend some money on marketing - we’ll reach out and discuss.
- In our dashboard - you will see which channels we have licensed your title to. They generally then take the title live within 4-12 weeks.
- Our sales team then continues selling your title to more and more buyers. The better your title performs - the better chance we have of convincing more buyers to take on your title. We always recommend you push your title and market to consumers directly as well!
- As your film begins generating revenue - we publish the reports in our online dashboard, and you can see when the channels report and pay on our Schedule. As soon as earnings are received by Filmhub we pay you.
I am already working with a sales agent or another distributor, how can you help me?
If you have rights that are not signed over exclusively to the sales agent or distributor - we can take on the other rights available.
Do I need to attend a festival to get successful distribution?
Festivals can be helpful, but ultimately - we find the most important thing is making a great film that people want to see - festivals aren’t generally designed to attract consumers to your film, they’re meant to get other filmmakers to see your film and industry PR, which isn’t all that helpful in distribution.
What budgets do you work with?
We’ve worked on films that have been shot for millions through micro-budgets, we know great artistry doesn’t mean big budget.
Can I take a look at what your contract looks like?
Yup! We believe in complete transparency and every relationship is governed by the same terms, publicly available here.
How long is your contract term?
If you’re ever unhappy with our service, you can cancel our contract at any given time and remove your film from availability, most channels will have your title down within 30 days. Once the money starts flowing, we think you’ll be joining our thousands of happy filmmakers that keep bringing us their new releases.
