Great hardware is key to creativity
- Most companies think of hardware as an expense line item. We believe it's your ticket to success and creativity.
- Team members should always feel confident they have the necessary equipment to perform their work. They should be proud of their setup. A good setup motivates people to do great work.
- How you treat your laptop is how you treat your work. Filmhub buys you a new laptop when you start, so you have a fresh start and can do great work.
- We even let you personalize your laptop size and color so you can look at something aesthetically pleasing daily.
- Since we are a fully remote company, we set everyone up with travel-friendly MacBook Airs (13 in or 15in) based on personal preferences. We recommend the 15-inch model, so you have more screen room on the go!
Current Laptop Specs
- These specs are updated every time a new Macbook Air is released.
- If the hiring manager believes hardware is needed outside these specs, they can petition @Untitled.

Computers for New Hires
- If you are a contractor who has been granted equity in the company, we will give you the option to get a company-issued laptop at the time of the equity grant.
- @Untitled asks the new hire for the preferred color & size
- Send new team member tracking info so they know when to expect the equipment.
- New team members should receive new equipment at least two weeks before starting.
- If this is not possible, explain the delay to the team member.
- If necessary, ship them a temporary laptop from Rippling Inventory.
Replacements
- We will replace your laptop once you’ve used it for 3 years. Laptops can last much longer, but we want to ensure you’re happy with your equipment while keeping company costs in line.
- Team members can appeal if a new laptop is needed before then.
- Be cautious; treat your laptop like it's your own, but sometimes things happen.
- If your laptop is lost, stolen, or damaged, please contact @Untitled to handle it. We will issue you a replacement from the Rippling Inventory.
Buy Your Laptop Option
- If you’d like to buy your laptop when you leave Filmhub or when it’s time to get a new one, we’ll give you the option to do so at the cost of an Apple Trade-In (a steep discount to what it would cost second hand).
- The Apple-Trade in value will be deducted as a post-tax payment from your next payroll run
